Answer» the screen stops me from CONTINUING - so i'll do it in SECTIONS...
turn off power button from behind the tower and wait.
turn the power back on. i push the power button on at the normal place, hitting f8
the green power button comes, but the amber hard drive light flickers and goes out.
turn off and on again, hitting f8. the hard drive/power light stay on and after five minutes the "starting windows" appears.
after 10 minutes my desktop appears.
as i said, this happens 80% of the time.
WHAT'S WRONG I am not sure about helping with the problem.
But you shouldnt make two topics that neither of them give what the issue is.
I dont really understand that QUESTION either
Plus you need to give much more information about the computer.Are you saying your computer won't boot into windows unless you do all what you said? I WOULD check your HD for bad sectors and if that doesn't work I would think windows is corrupted.
