Solve : HELP! I did something really stupid!? |

Answer» Really good news I'm not an expert in this area so i was wandering: presumably the quick format only released the memory to be written over (like it does when you delete something) rather than a full format which would have rejigged the filesystem - erasing all data? Just to let you know: I'm glad to hear that it worked out! And that's actually relatively quick. I recently had to go through a similar process and it took me two days with 293 GB.Quote it took me two days with 293 GB.Wow.....What did you do for two days?Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on August 26, 2008, 02:48:04 AM Quoteit took me two days with 293 GB.Wow.....What did you do for two days? I cried mostly...hey but at LEAST it WENT all right I am ASSUMING Quote from: mcxeb52! on August 26, 2008, 02:30:54 PM hey but at least it went all right I am assuming With the exception of a lost modem driver that I can't find. What kind of modem is it?It's a Conexant of some sort. I'd have to open up my computer to get the actual model number and I'm too tired, lazy, and busy to do that at the moment. For whatever reason, my chipset drivers don't do anything for the modem. I've LOOKED all over the Gateway and Conexant sites, but the only drivers I've been able to find for my computer so far have only been for Vista. In fact, I'm using a Vista driver right now, which is why my connection is so shoddy. Before I get moved into my apartment, I plan on testing out another modem to see how it works out.Quote I'm too tired, lazy, and busy to do that at the moment.Ahhh...here we go)In my defense, I've got a ton of stuff going on and I had a very long day. Heh. |
