Meanwhile, you might want to provide as much information about your problem and system as you can.i bought this laptop for my birthday and it kept doing launch repair so we took it to comet and they fixed it and told us to do a backup disk but it kept saying not available and we can't do it , then today i turned it on it said starting windows, Then it normally goes onto the log in thing it stayed on the light was on but the screen turned right of i . tried taking the battery out STILL did the same thing !If your birthday was less than 12 months ago, take it back to Comet.

The really only possibly relevant information you provided so far is the possibility that it may still be under warranty (depending when this was "i bought this laptop for my birthday "). Which is why Salmon Trout has given the suggestion he has. However the information you give should tell us what the operating system of the COMPUTER is/what brand and MODEL of computer your dealing with/everything that you can think of to describe your issue/what event may have occurred coincident to the 1st occurrence of the problem/what if any changes did you make to software/hardware that was at the time of the problem occurring.
