Answer» Hello, please HELP.... My 4 YEAR old Gateway desktop powers up fine, making the same normal noise as it had been working. However, my monitor shows no SIGNAL (tried a different monitor) and I see that CD-ROM is not powered up, so it won't open.... When I see the back of the desktop, all lights are on... I called Gateway, they said that video card is not working - but when I informed CD-ROM has no power, he said that it seems that my PC is infected by Spyware and in ORDER to remove it I need to purchase $199 tech support, and possibly video card.... Would you suggest that I should do what Gateway SAYS, or do you have any other suggestions??
