Answer» Hello everyone! My brother has a HP Pavilion (b2030br to be exact). It was working just fine and one fine day the monitor went off and wouldn't turn back on. I have tried using other monitors to it but no luck! It is as if the monitors weren't even plugged in to the computer! Could there be a problem with the display driver or the video card? If there is, is it possible for me to fix it? Thank you very much and sorry if this is a stupid or repeated questionif u tried different monitors and still no GOOD, then yes u should change the video card, just check the motherboard specs, to make sure u GET the right kind, or if it is onboard video, then get vid card to try, and if still no good, then probably bad motherboard.I fixed a computer the other day with this problem
LOW chance its your mobo. First change your video card, thats 99% the cause. If not stick a torch in your computer and look for some blown capacitors, these can trigger strange happenings, if not, then i doubt its your driver. But try reseting your BIOS settings, remove the CMOS battery, and move your jumper to reset it. If you dont have a jumper, SHORT circuit the battery connections

Whoa - let's not go crazy.
The most likely cause is the video card. Try that first. If a new video card still doesn't work we can then look at other possibilities.
