Answer» I installed the motherboard according to instructions on another site. But when I turn on the laptop, it seems to have power but the fan doesn't go on and there is no video on the screen. The hard drive light stays on (doesn't blink). Did I SCREW up my new motherboard while I was installing it? Or is there a simpler explanation? By the way, it's a Toshiba A65 EDIT: I just thought of something. Could it be a faulty AC ADAPTOR? (the adaptor box makes a high pitch squealing noise when plugged in). Could the AC Adaptor be giving insufficient power to the laptop? Thanks for your HELP! MattYo Apart from installing it what else did you do. Come on guys give clear explanations. Did you connect the fan pin on the slot, are sure that your cpu is getting power. Take your time uninstal it then with make sure everything is fitted as is should be. Cheers Bin Laden says
