Solve : HELP! Toshiba A65 Motherboard?

Answer»

I just bought a motherboard off Ebay for my Toshiba A65 LAPTOP. When I got to the point where I was going to install the video card fan, I noticed a copper plate over the video card attached with 2 plastic fasteners.

On the motherboard from my previous laptop, it didn't have this copper plate, just the fan over the video card.

I'm not sure what this copper plate is, and with it attached to the motherboard I can't install the video card fan. Is there a way to remove it, or is it an ALTERNATIVE to a cooling fan?

Thanks for your help, I want to install this motherboard correctly.

Here's a picture of it:

It looks like you have a new board and that
copper plate comes off to install the fan. I
did not find a picture of a new board.

If you have Product numbers on the board
research and make sure it is the same.

Assemble/Disassemble

Your new motherboard may use the copper plate to dissipate
heat from the integrated video if it is under the copper plate.

---->LookHereIf it's something to dissipate the heat from the integrated video, then do I need a fan? If I need a fan, where do I attach it?

The picture of the motherboard in the ebay listing is the EXACT motherboard that I just bought.

By the way, the integrated video card is directly under the copper plate.

Thanks again for your help! From downloading the manual and looking at the pictures the motherboard is slightly different and don't use a graphics fan but, it fits.
