Answer» Hi, I have an Packardbell platinum 6001 running windows 98se and i want to put it back to its original settings. I have done this before but cannot remember all the steps. Please note that this machine will note wipe with the recovery disk or BOOTING from a cd. I star her up and press F8 and get into set up then there is a menue with 4 or 5 options what option do i choose to COMPLETELY wipe it. Other than that if i go an buy a new hard drive for it do i need to configure it to RECEIVE the operating system or WOULD it just be a MATTER of installing the operating system straight from the disks. please help if you can. thanks.
