When i try and boot the machine the fans run but when the vidoe trys to initialize it shuts down. Ive tried in both pci-e slots. tried reseating the memory. Using one stick. CPU cooler is properly installed. new power supply. im at a loss help please
Asus P5nd2-sli mainboard
p4 3.4ghz
430 watt thermaltake
evga 7600gt 256meg video
1 gig 2 STICKS elixer 667 memoryI'm gonna jump in and see if I can't help you

Honestly, that 430W power supply only runs at 400W on average, 430 would be its peak performance. With the specs you gave it may seems your machine is eating all of its power; thus causing the shutdown.

Though, lets wait for a more experienced member to contribute and correct me if im wrong Did you remember to use Thermal COMPOUND when you installed the CPU ? ?
