Answer» Hi all, hoping someone here can help me before I go raving MAD!
I recently came into possession of an E-system 3090 UK laptop. The battery is completely dead (i.e. it won't charge) due, I think, a very long period of non-use.
Trying to find a replacement is driving me nuts as the original no longer seems to be available. I'm looking for a suitable replacement, but don't know enough about the topic to be sure that the one I buy is compatible.
Battery details are as follows:
Battery Pack: L51-4S2000-S1P
Rating: 14.4v and 2000 mAh
Re-chargeable Li-Ion
Cell made by: Panasonic
Made by Simplon
Assembled in China
Can anyone help me out with this one please?
Cheers! Where have you LOOKED for a replacement? SORRY, but I'm not FAMILIAR with sources in the UK. Try a Google search on E-system 3090 UK laptop battery replacement and look for a source.Hi soybean and thanks for the reply!
Trust me, I've Googled until my fingertips are red raw! I can find plenty of sources for chargers that are compatible with the SUBJECT battery, but no suppliers for the battery itself.
What I need, I think, is another battery that is compatible...and this is where I'm coming unstuck.
I know that any replacement has to be the same voltage as the original (i.e. 14.4v); I also know - I think - that the amps doesn't have to be the same (i.e. currently at 2000mAh).
What I need is someone to say: "Battery X is totally compatible with that laptop".
Any other suggestions?
Cheers!
