Answer» I have a q/a about network CABLES?
A Twisted Pair Cable is made up of 8. wires and then paired off into groups of 2. wires eatch.
And I GET that not all NETWORKS will use every pair of wires in the cable.
But when you see CAT 3 or CAT 5. and other diferant CAT.s is the cable still made up of 8. wires? Thanksi know that CAT 3 has the same NUMBER of pairs and wires as CAT 5. CAT 5, however, has a much higher bandwidth then CAT 3, 100 Mbit/s compared to the CAT 3's 10Mbit/s.
