Solve : help with son's pc?

Answer»

all I know is that it is a VIA mainboard, Epia mini-ITX, and something about Samuel 2.westom quit acting like a prick to this guy and quit telling him some stupid answer. He can't afford to take it anywhere or buy a multimeter and quite frankly it's not that kind of an issue. And to svscofield I'm glad that you got your pc up and running again Quote from: brett74 on July 03, 2009, 01:49:22 PM

westom quit acting like a prick

In my experience, insulting this kind of person very rarely brings about any kind of penitence or reform. What are the chances, it's up and running and you didn't have to lay down a dime.

Did you do anything to it's innards or did it just suddenly start working again?I found out that I COULD indeed get the dvd-rom to flip out of the way. One of you guys suggested that I make sure all of the connections from the power supply to the hdd were seated properly, which is what I did. I suspect that I might have to buy a new power supply in the next couple of months or else add on more fans: I had to KEEP the case open for a little bit to ensure it stayed running (it tried to quit a couple of times).Good to hear you are running...
Apologies for all that spun your Topic out of control...

I am so glad that you found a solution. Please come back again any time.

westom, yes it is my business, I took an oath to protect those that can't protect themselves from the likes of you. You are dangerous, ignorant, and arrogant.glad that you were able to figure it out. Spite what he said a volt meter would be USEFUL in this case but you couldnt SAY that it would have been from the start, aside from that you wouldnt be sure what to do with things such as ohms,AC or DC readings. On behalf of the selected few, I present you with the offer of comeing back with a free issue.unfortunately I am back but thisone is interesting. daughter had left dinosaur digs cd-rom in the drive when she turned it off. I took it out (pc had booted correctly). I put in a disc called " operation mania" (a pogo to go game). we saw a warning box: lsass.exe endpoint format invalid. then I ended up with the BLUESCREEN of death and this statement: bad_system_config infoas this is a seperate issue. IT would be best to start a new thread, also well need the stop code for a sulition.
