I'm not sure if this is the right place to post as it seems to be more of an HP software issue than with the printer itself. The software is HP PhotoSmart Premier.

Anyway when you try and print a 4X6 photo, the software crops the photo. This results in people having the tops of their heads cut off etc. The initial image that is selected to print is fine, but on the print preview, the software changes the size of the image. I have done the ONLINE rep thing from HP who had me change all sorts of things. I ended up downloading HP PhotoSmart ESSENTIAL, but it does the same thing. I think he finally gave up.

Anyone got any ideas or should I return it to the store and get something ELSE? :-?I could be wrong here but maybe WORTH a try>>> ?

Uninstall the printer....correctly.....
download from the website.... the latest drivers....
unplug & re-plug the printer back into the case

And if it is a USB printer remember to install the software first...it will prompt you for when to connect the printer.
