Answer» well, that didnt help. had some help with a puter person over here and directed me thru the setup on boot. things were set wrong, but UPON resetting, still same problem. told it may be the printer cord, but dont think i have a replacement. anything else, anyone?a 712c is at least 6 years old and PROBABLY closer to 10. Unfortunately all electronics fail eventually, even though that was a fairly RUGGED model. As a last resort, try that printer on another COMPUTER to DETERMINE if it is a hardware or software issue. If hardware, you will not be able to fix it.
