Solve : hidden internet?

Answer»

I am FRUSTRATED by a co-workers joke.  We have FINALLY gotten a decent computer at my job.  It has the capability of high band connection thru firefox.  It was wonderful not to have to use the slow dial up on my laptop.  I was so excited that I would be able to just email my work files to the new computer instead of having to copy them to floppy from the old computer, then transfer them to cd on my laptop, then copy them to the new computer.  My co-worker seems to find great delight in only allowing himself internet access!  He has hidden the internet connection.  I can't find it anywhere.  If anyone has any ideas how I can circumvent his little joke, I would LOVE to hear about them!  The computer is networked to an off site system.  Any ideas, anyone?
maihynsAnd is your "co-worker" the administrative account on this computer? Does this person even HAVE an account? Have you tried system restore?

[glb]Flame[/glb]My co-worker has admin settings because he set up the system. The guy from the company screwed it up, and he fixed it so we could use it.  The little BRAT keeps insisting that he can't get on line either but I CHECK the history and I see sites listed.  The system shows three connections.
1.     1394 connection 2
2.     CTC
3.     and one that I recognize as being only for our outgoing    program.

This is so frustrating.  I believe that it is the FIRST connection listed above that he is using, but I can't seem to access it.  I tried setting up a reg dial up connection, but it still doesn't bypass Norton's admin settings. Grrrrrr

So you do, or do not have your connection now? Also, if you are not the administrator, you do not have much power to change things around...
