Solve : Hooking up a hard drive to a laptop?

Answer»

The power supply went out in my PC. Instead of buying a new power supply, I would like to remove the hard drive from my PC and hook it up to my lap top to retrieve the data. Is it possible to do this? How do I go about doing it?It is called a USB HDD adapter and power supply.
You GET them on EBAY for about $20, but you might want to pay a little more and get a nice one that has a boxs to mout the HDD.

I use this cheap one to read a CD-burner that does not fit in my small box.
ok, I purchased one but my computer WONT read the drive when I hooked it up
