Answer» Hello,
This is such a nerdy question I am not quite sure under what category to post it, But anyway, I am going to be taking my FIRST commercial alirline trip in over a DECADE and it is about an 8 hour flight. So here is my question: The battery on my laptop will not stay charged for more than one hour, so is there anyway to charge my battery while in-flight?
Thanks! Ask the airline. You could go into the bathroom and use the plug there. But it might be DC only. Or, you could carry a SPARE battery.
Why do you want you laptop on a plane anyway? A plane trip is a change to meet new people, watch the sky and take a snooze. And over water the alcohol is cheaper. Check with the airline, most newish planes used on long DISTANCE flights have sockets under the seats so you can just plug it in as normal.
Alternatively you can buy an extra battery for your laptop, charge it before you go and swap it over mid flight. Then of course on the flight keep the brightness down, enable power management.etc to save battery. Thanks Cameron,
very GOOD information!
