Answer» I have been trying to REMOVE this screw but it just flat-out does not COME out. I have tried applying force, a rubber band and glue but nothing worked. Attached is a picture for reference. I had one like that a few years back. I took a hacksaw BLADE and sawed across the TOP of the screwhead to create a slot for a flat blade screwdriver. Since the screwhead is recessed it will mean sawing into the laptop back. If you have a dremel tool, you could use a cutting wheel to cut a slot in the screwhead.Hm, I would try with flathead screwdriver just wide enough to fit in the GROOVE and then try to turn it with force also applied downwards...Try screw extractor, works every time.
