Don't do that anymore...you risk DAMAGING expensive components.oh ok... so do i really need more power and how much will it cost do you think? iam kinda on budget on what i can getwhat about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130380 could i use this?that 115v 220v power switch has nothing to do with power consumption- it simply allows the computer to be used in Europe where the AC is 220 volts.

As Patio SAID- probably not a good idea to mess with it. Although admittedly, it's BETTER to have it set to 220 and recieve 115 then to have it set to 115 and receive 220... Those poor European computer newbies...
