Solve : How do I setup two different sets of speakers onto one computer??

Answer»

I recently bought a new Dell XPS 720 with a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic(D) Sound Card and with Dell A525 2.1 STEREO Speakers with a SUBWOOFER. I have another set of speakers that I used to use on my old computer which I would like to hook up to work simultaneously with my current speakers. The older speakers are Dell A425 2.1 Stereo Speakers with a Subwoofer. How do I go about setting the two up.

I am also THINKING about reformatting the XPS 720 to repartition the hard drive so I may end up needing to setup the original speakers as well. It would be easiest if I could install both immediately after reformatting and partitioning.taking a shot at this but; go read on each one and see which if or both would work*

you need either an amplifier or an EQUALIZER with 4 speaker inputs and you should be good to go, the creative sound card will setup the output levels.Thank you very much. Do you have any recommendations for a good amplifier or equalizer? If these are powered speakers and non USB, they might work by using a simple Y adapter. Radio Shack should have them.Quote from: 2k_dummy on July 12, 2007, 02:31:59 AM

yeah I'd suggest a Y adapter too. I use one for my setup with a pair of powered speakers and my stereo.Oh, of course, I can't believe I didn't think of that. Thats great! Thanks a bunch 2k_dummy.
