hmmm.... so FAR, on this forum, there are at least 3 people with the same last name of ***. I WONDER how many there are in the world. How do you pronounce ***?

Starstarstar. There are 3,603,382 people in the U.S. with the first name David.

There are 0 people in the U.S. with the last name ....

I found this on this FAQ page:

Q: Why isn't my name on the list?
The list of names from the census bureau isn't complete. For PRIVACY reasons, names with relatively few responses were not included in the list. We used this data to create this site. Our site can only be as good as the data we have to work with.

* Around 1 out of every 10 people will have a last name not on the list.
* Around 1 out of every 10 people will have a first name not on the list.

Using the same statistical fallacy this site is known for, that means about 81% of people will have both names on the list. In a mathematical COUP our scientists have determined from this information that about 19% of people will have EITHER one or both names missing from the list.

1 out of every 10 seems like a lot.Quote

I certainly would not recruit this group to send a probe to Mars.... Quote from: quaxo on June 03, 2008, 08:17:49 AM

lol. the first time I read that, I thought it said superstar. There are 775,775 people in the US with my first name, 57th most popular name.
What a surprise that 99.9% are female.

There are 730 people in the US with my last name, its 36426rd most popular. Just when I thought that my surname was dying out.

In SA it's only my direct family with my last name.
