Solve : How to connect analog TV to a VGA/DVI graphic card on PC??

Answer»

I have an analog TV with component & composite HOLES, but my graphic card only has a DVI and VGA output. I just bought this card 9400GT Geforce and it doesn't have S-Video.

From reading through the comments & researching, I see I can possibly use a component video transcoder, but I just want to make sure be before I make a purchase and if there are any other options for me. This graphic card will support component output.

I want to use either component or RCA (white, yellow, red) cables.

Here is how the back of my TV looks like.

So..what is the best and cheapest option for me? Thanks.Yes you are right you need a converter box like http://tinyurl.com/2ulqvdg. Do not buy the ones that are just cables as your Video card will be out PUTTING a compatable signal.

I used a box like the one above for my old TV and had no problems, but tried to use one for my parents and it never worked perfectly, seems to be a bit hit an miss. Not surprising though as you are trying to combine 2 different standards. But this should work. Worst case is you have to return it I guess.

Hope things work for you
