I paid $50 for this software several months ago and haven't been able to FIGURE out how to cut segments out of my video file yet. Every time I try to cut a segment it says "the cut region you selected is too large. The remaining segments would beccome invalid".
Why do it keep getting this stupid message. I'm about on my last NERVE here.
I click on the RED cut button at the start point of the segment I want to cut. At this point the cut button turns gold. I set the slider to the end of the segment I want cut and click the gold cut button and get this error message. No matter how big or small a segment I try to cut I get this message. What the heck am I doing wrong?

You may be trying to cut the wrong part of the video and don't realize it. It can be a little confusing as to what you are looking at. I have gotten used to just SLICING the video where I want it divided and then deleting the part I don't want. You might try it that way. Otherwise, go over the procedures you are using to cut the video and make sure the correct part is being selected.

The wrong part would be the part you want to keep.

The way the cut scene tool works, I get a little confused and sometimes the segment shows up in funny places. Use whichever method you prefer, I just like to keep it simple.
