Solve : How to write the > sign to a file?

Answer»

Hi,

from a .bat file I TRY to WRITE something like
2 > 1
to another file
But
ECHO 2 > 1 > File
writes the FILES 1 and File containing 2.
ECHO "2 > 1" > File
would work but is not applicable because of the Quotation marks in the resulting file :-/

Please HELP
This should do it:

echo 1^>2 >file
