Solve : HP 4185 all-in-one Printer?

hello everyone,
I have a problem with my hp 4185 all-in-one printer, i think the problem is the data strip and the parts on the rotation gear [i dont KNOW what the name of the parts is].... but it is made of transparent plastic like the data strip but it is round and attached to a round gear placed in the inner left side of the printer.... the problem is, the PRINTED data on it is erase because of its oldness, THUS any one know how to repair it? when i turn on my printer it produce a scrambling noise inside,suddenly it will stop and then the resume lights will blink..... pls HELP!!!! anyone know how to repair it?Did you already look over the HP web site?

Unless it was an expensive office printer, there is little to gain by trying to fix it. About all a user can do is replace the cartridges and repair paper jams.

Here is a very personal opinion, BASED on observations and personal experience.: Buy a new printer. Later sell the old one for parts.
