Solve : Hp Dv7 1232nr cpu upgrade?

Answer»

is it possible to upgrade the CPU of a Hp Dv7 1232nr laptop?
I've been Google'ing all day looking for a compatible CPU for this laptop.

ThanksTechnically, yes. Anything that fits Socket S1G2 is great. But it's way more work than unscrewing a few screws... remember that.

Here are a few processors...

so basically all these will work like they're supposed to? and do i have to consider temperatures?TEMPS will be around the same. But I'm telling you, the PROBLEM is getting to the CPU, and then (a MUCH lesser problem) getting it out. Hopefully it's not soldered on. Get the CPU in and I'm pretty sure it will work like it's supposed to.

There is your chart. Anything with an HT of 1800mhz is very sure to work. OTHERS you might have to experiment with. I see no point in a processor replacement however. It is good enough and changing it will not have a huge impact on performance. It's most likely the GPU (graphics CARD) HOLDING you back.
