Solve : HP laptop bogged down with iPhone apps?

Answer»

My wife's HP laptop with Vista has been slowing WAY down since she got her iPhone-which started downloading many apps. I went to command line and RAN services.msc and counted 9 that were running. There is not enough room to list them all here-I would like to UNINSTALL as many as possible but don't know what to do. Apparently Apple likes to loadup PCs so that they bog down and the user will give up and buy an Apple laptop to support their iPhones and other peripherals. Anybody got any ideas? I can provide a list of the apps showing. thanks Are you talking about ITUNES? Apps do not download by themselves. If you mean iTunes is bogging the computer down then that makes sense. iTunes is a HARDY resource hog and it is known to tax the CPU and memory on a PC. What I would do is open iTunes, click the edit button and preferences. Click the store tab and uncheck download pre-purchased content. I don't think that is your problem though, so next, click the START button and type in "msconfig" w/o the quotes, click the start up tab and find anything thing that is related to iTunes or iphone or Apple that is starting up and uncheck it to disable it from starting up when you turn the computer on. Go to Start -->Control Panel -->Programs -->Programs and Features. Find the programs you want to uninstall and choose Uninstall.
