Answer» Hi, I have a HP Laptop (approx 3 years old) and it has died on me. It crashed on me LAST night and was unable to switch it on again at first but it did come on eventually after pressing the power button about 10 times and it seemed to work OK until I went to bed. However this morning when I came to switch on my laptop nothing HAPPENED. When I press the power button (either on battery or power source) all I get is the blue power light come on and then quickly go off, there is ALSO no sound coming from the laptop in the way of fans. Please help!Do you have or have access to a VOM or DVOM. (a meter used to test voltage/resistance ect.)? If so, PLUG the AC power supply cord into the wall but leave it unplugged from your laptop. US the VOM/DVOM, (set to AC voltage) to check for voltage at the plug that is unplugged from the laptop. The meter should ~110-120 volts. If not you have a faulty cord, a faulty transformer or no current at the wall receptacle.
