Solve : HP monitor has blue tint? |
|
Answer» I changed my hard drive last night to a larger unit, now my monitor has a HEAVY blue tint. I can see everything but it's all BLUE. I tried a SYSTEM RESTORE point to before I changed the HD (I cloned the new HD from the old one then removed the old one) but it's still blue. I'm thinking it's a setting or driver or something. I tried updating the drivers from the monitor install disk but it said I had the most current one. Also tried DIFFERENT resolution settings. The monitor is an HP vs19e LCD. It was working fine before I changed the hard drive.Try reinstalling your display drivers...not the monitor drivers, but your graphics card.I tried reloading the drivers for the video card, no luck with that. Still have a very blueish screen.Look in your monitor manual, how to access default settings.Tried the factory reset from the menu......still blue. I'm stumped, maybe the video card went bad?make sure that the connector is all of the way on.Quote I tried reloading the drivers for the video cardUninstall old drivers, first.Quote from: fpsmitch on February 01, 2008, 07:23:43 AM make sure that the connector is all of the way on. *censored*, I can't believe I missed that. Thanks! Hooked the connectors back up too quickly after changing the HD CUZ I wanted to see if it worked. The connector on the back of the puter was loose.WOW!!!I know, it was embarrassing to admit, but it may help someone in the future. lolNothing is embarrassing in strange computer world. Everyone makes stupid mistakes.haha it had me stumped...my old comp had tons of prblems and i got all worked up and all it was was the loose connector...were all human i guess... |
