Answer» have had problems intermittentl y with hp officejet d135 printer. sometimes got message about scanner FAILURE. but more recently nothing prints: get message that there is an error printing. i have the CD for the printer. should i uninstall & reinstall printer software? if so, how do i do it? my system is microsoft windows xp & the hardware is compaq ipaq w/ intel pentium III processor. thank you, dedeHave you installed the drivers from the CD? How old is the unit?don't know age of it. surely there's something that can be fixed on it? could it be the scanner bulb? dedeIf it can't print like a normal printer, I doubt the scanner bult is the issue. Be sure and load the software, reboot and then plug in the printer. Yes, but remember you must reboot before you try to reinstall.
