Answer» I recently inherited a BROKEN OmniBook Xe3-gc Mo. # F3776WT. When you press the power button the lights on the keyboard flash and the battery light comes on (when it's plugged in). There is some noise from the cd drive but the screen stays blank and it stops making noise. We tried plugging another monitor to it and it did the same thing and the monitor light stayed yellow. If this is the case you might need another mother board for the laptop UNLESS the power jack can be soldered back in place onto the motherboard so it doesn't wiggle or feel loose anymore. That's usually the easiest fix. But depending on the laptop, it may or may not be cheaper to replace the mother board or just buy a whole new laptop.

Agreed! I don't like them!
