Answer» HP Desktop F2210 All-in-one; Dell laptop Inspiron 1150; Windows XP. PRINTS fine but won't scan.
When I try to open HP Solution Center. just for an INSTANT I see the box open, then it disappears and another box says "No HP Device found. HP Solution Center will close now."
Printer power is on, USB cable attached; it does print.
Any suggestions? Thanks. DixieflashWallMart lists this as a super cheap printer. So you would not want to spend a lot of time and MONEY trying to FIX it. http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Deskjet-F2210-Printer-Scanner-and-Copier-All-in-One/10710284 We assume you XP version up to date and you did the right drivers. Did yo do something recently that would have changed the setup?
I also have had trouble with my HP all-in-one, but not the same model. I had to re install the software. Then it wired again. But not likely it was the same problem. But that takes less time and effort than digging into all the stuff on the HP support site. http://welcome.hp.comYep, it's Walmart cheap, but I own some WM stock, plus the thing has always worked fine enough for my needs. The old saying, "If you can't tell the difference why pay the difference" is my creedo.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and now it works. Go figger.
Appreciate your help. Cheers, DixieflashHmm. Maybe HP printers are snow being made by FORD.Im thinking of using the xerox phaser. But not really sure if this works fine for XP.
