Answer» I know you guys already heard about Hyper-Threading and Core 2 Duo processors.
Which do you think is the faster? Would it be based on the FSB, clock speed, FREQUENCIES?you mean a single core hyperthreading like a p4 or something and a core 2 duo? the core 2 would be better because it has 2 physical proccessing cores where the hyperthreading only has one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-threading#DetailsAlso, the newer the peocessor, the better its going to PROCESS data. The shear fact that the CoreDuo would be newer than a hyper-threaded PIIII says a lot about how it physically processes data.
Thanks guys. I thought I might also mention: If you want to hyper-thread, your MOTHERBOARD (and I think CPU as WELL) must be CAPABLE of it. If you dont have a hyper-threading option in your BIOS, then its not possible.
