Start with a bare minimum:
PSU
CPU and fan
If the MBoard has onboard video use it.
Monitor
Mouse and Keyboard ( preferably PS2 )
1 stick of RAM

Post back with the results and a complete list of hardware.
What RAM does the MBoard call for ? ?

- DDR2 1066/800/667

Didnt test it yet...

Asus P5K WS
Antec 850W PSU
Nividia GeForce 8500
4 1GB sticks of DDR 2 Kingston, DDR2
Pent 4 CPU
a 160 Gb Hard Drive
and a Cd-Rom drive, not sure off top of my head

MOBO does not have onboard, and my mouse and keyboard are both wireless and my MOBO doesnot have a spot for the mouse (its not USB of course)

That board has a PS2port....
At any rate add the vid card to the above minimum list.
Are you overclocking ?
What speed is the RAM ?
Remember use only 1 stick for testing in the slot nearest the CPU.

I just bought the same board but the build is on HOLD temporarily.

the most common cause of new builds not starting up correctly is incorrect wiring. are all the connections secure and correct? triple check all of your connections and carefully review your motherboard manual for correct wiring.
lol thanks homer!!
