Solve : I cant open this external harddrive?? |
|
Answer» I would be so thankful if you guys could help me with this one i did that it it says THIS UNIT DOESN'T WORK...or something like that.... I've never SEEN that error report in Disk Management...this is so weird now i asked a friend to plug in her external hard drive and she couldnt open her drive either. Also after a while both of ours HD were opening but nothing was on it. Can someone explain this? Now both of our HD´s has the same problem. weird. We also tried with a 3rd pc and the same issue was there. Let me guess...your using the front USB hubs on this machine...yes patio...do you think that is creating the problem? what shall i do than?Use the ones on the back.Go to Device Manager. Remove the yellow exclamation mark which designates the device. Restart the system. The disc is recognized. If it still does not work, try a manual installation: specifies the file directory C: Windowsinf and click Next to end the search for drivers (Sometimes you have to do this several times handling, or try to reinstall the drivers insert the Windows XP SP2 CD). try this if you get some solution.now something weird is happing this morning, the hard drive is opening and it ,scalled NEW VOLUME instead of the name i had written for the external hard drive. When i open this NEW VOLUME the only file i see inside is NERO AUTOBACK?? WHATTTTT? why is Nero autoback inside? than inside Nero autoback we have D inside D we have PRELOUD, SOURCES, TOOLS, WINDOWS... i dont understand what is this?? anyone knows THANKS A MILLION!!!!guys...i took the drive to a service place and they told me i can fix the problem myself.. .they told me to install a DATA RECOVERY program and restore all the data inside the drive.... because it had been formatted or something... because i had removed the drive from my pc to another or something... and today all day i was working on the recovery thing...and now ALL THE DATA is restored thank god... wanted to write this in case anyone had the same problem like me this could be a good solution!! thanks guys for taking your time to write for me and help me with advice!! What Data Recovery program did you use? |
