Answer» Ok so here it is. I think I know the answer but I wanted to ask just to be sure. I am LOOKING to purchase a MEMORY upgrade for a computer that I have. The specs for the computer say that it takes pc2700 or ddr333. My QUESTION is that if i put ddr400 in the machine will it downgrade and still work? Was just WONDERING! IF you could let me know asap I would greatly APPRECIATE it. ThanksYes that should work as long as you buy DDR 1 RAM. You can get 400 MHz DDR 2 RAM but those wont fit in your RAM slots.
