Yes. Remove the CMOS battery...about the size of a dime on the MBoard. Wait awhile then retry.Okay, I just unplugged it. Will give it an hour? SOUND about right?10 seconds will be enough.still ran into the same problem. put the battery in, plugged the power cord in and it auto turned on.. but the power button in the front doesn't even light up stillDid you try a known working PSU and booting with minimal DEVICES attached? If you have; you might need to replace the CPU and mainboard to see if either are faulty..the psu works for sure.Quote still ran into the same problem. Any beeps yet ? ? If not revert back to posts # 5 and #8 respectively...Quote well i know the psu works. all the fans turn on when i turn it on.. should i try to unplug the vid card fan power? A common misconception. Quote well i know the psu works. all the fans turn on when i turn it on.. should i try to unplug the vid card fan power? Fans barely draw any power, the risk of damaging something is greater than the possibility of your problem being caused by a fan me thinks. Switch the PSU and see if the problem PERSISTS. Just because you get light and fans doesn't mean the PSU is 100%.remove the power from the dvd / cd burner would help?BARE minimum only. Videocard, RAM, Processor and mainboard.I gave up trying to do it all my self just going to take it to a tech now. Thanks for the help though guys! SonnyNo problem, too bad you've given up but come back anytime if you have other problems.Quote I gave up trying to do it all my self just going to take it to a tech now. SOMETIMES that is the best solution |
