Download, and install SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
Post your computer temperatures:

amd athlon 64processor 2800
32bit operating system
installed memory(ram) 2.00gb(1.00gb usable)
hard drive capacity 298gb.
215gb freespace
avira antivirus
norton antivirusSpeedFan results are missing.

You can't run two AV programs.
One of them has to go.

If Norton, make sure to use Norton Removal Tool: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
If Norton removed, make sure to turn Windows firewall ON.i dont know how to take a picture of the speedfan and post on here and which one do you prefer to remove? i think i should keep the norton?Write the numbers down and type them into your reply.

If you want to keep Norton, uninstall Avira.temp1 79c

temp3 40c

They look fine.
Uninstall Avira and see how it goes.Could be a heat problem, memory or psu (power supply unit) issue if it's not just software related.

I noticed you put the first time:

temp1 79c
temp2 127c
temp3 40c
core 35c

Is that correct? temp2 127c is extreme and would cause most motherboards to decrease speed, become unstable, freeze, CRASH, or force shutdown / reboot. Unless it's a dummy value, not CONNECTED to anything and doesn't change?

Check your CPU fan is spinning and not clogged with dust. The software Broni provided does show values a lot more better / healther though.

Start the computer in safe mode (F8 at boot, then select from list) and run it for a while to see if it still occurs. That would give you an idea if it's hardware or something funky with software.

Yeah, as mentioned above, you should only run 1 realtime scanner on your system, two or more could conflict with each other or slow down. I don't think it would cause any issues this major though. Quote

The above reading means nothing else, than non-existing sensor. No reason to worry about that item at all.
Confirmed by Everest readings.
Temperatures are perfectly fine and there is no reason to cause any panic, if you're not familiar with SpeedFan (<---- Azzaboi)
Broken/Unplugged/Not AVAILABLE sensors report either -128 or 127. There is a sensible reason for this. Quote from: BC_Programmer on September 17, 2010, 05:21:28 PM

Which is?  Why not just report NA or something similar? That's how SpeedFan works. You can contact its author with your question.
