Solve : I'm building a new computer-Tell me if i'm making a right decision!?

Answer»

I have already ordered these parts coming up i can cancel if I want to but it looks like it's going to be a solid system when I make it.
Anyways here we go!
-Ultra / X-Connect V-Series ( XVS)-Clear Side ATX Case
-700-Watt / ATX / Dual 80mm Fans / 20/24-Pin / Modular Power Supply.
-Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX Motherboard
-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz OEM Processor
-Seagate / Barracuda 7200.10 / 500GB / 7200 / 8MB / ATA-100 / EIDE /HD
-BFG GeForce 7300 GT OC 256MB PCI Express Video Card
-Creative SOUND Blaster X-FI Xtreme Audio Sound Card
-2GB OCZ Dual Channel XTC 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz Looks good.

I probably would have gone with a SATA hard drive instead of IDE. Also, OEM processors usually don't come with a fan / heatsink, so unless you have verified if it comes with one already, you may still need to get a fan / heatsink.ok THANKS so much I am already changing my HD. I called a friend also he TOLD me SATA is better.Just my OPINION* GuruGary <<< "ditto"

drop this*
Seagate / Barracuda 7200.10 / 500GB / 7200 / 8MB / ATA-100 / EIDE /HD

get 2 of the 320 gig 16mb sata drives (if you still can and can wait .. )

looks like you want to game, the raid O and 16mb 320 hd's will purrrrr and play quicker.

I THINK* the 2 hd's are about the same cost or cheaper than the one 500 gb
the rest of the puter looks sweet ~I like the idea of going with two hard drives.

Your video card choice is very weak as compared to the rest of your system.

Your power supply may be OK, but Ultra is not a top-shelf brand like this rig deserves.

You said it.
Check the GPU FAQ (FAQ, Hardware) for more info.
The 7300 is not SUITABLE for modern gaming. Thanks guys i have already cancelled my Hd and i'm thinking about the two Hd's. I am also thinking about getting a 8800 or a 8600 Nvidia Card.. Dunno any more facts on the cards still have to look around..Did you check the GPU FAQ yet?
That gices you a good idea of what's what.
And the 8600 comes in at around X1950 level, I need to add that and the other 8 series cards soon.
