Hello i am looking for a great video editing computer. I dont have a huge budget, $800. Right now i have a very slow computer. And for my sony vegas to well ( i have a avchd camcorder) i need about 2.8ghz proccesor. I cant seem to find something with that kind of speed for a cheaper price. Please HELP me.

- LAPTOP OR DESKTOP

-I need about 2.8ghz processor

- About 2gb of ram

- AMD or intel

- Windows

-$800 budgetTry buying from newegg (I think you can ship only to U.S. addresses)

Suggestion # 1:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883107655 ---> TRIPLE core PC for $579.99.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127295 ---> MSI 8500GT card for $49.99 (after a $15.00 mail in rebate) to replace the INTEGRATED graphics of the triple core pc. Integrated graphics are not very good. 8500GT card is very good for media playback/media editing and casual gaming.

Suggestion 2:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229024 --> $674.98. ($649.99 + $24.99 for 3 business day shipping)

This has a core 2 duo processor and a 8500GT graphics card.

Either desktop computers might be enough for you if you're not too much into gaming but more looking for media work, second suggestion seems to be more of a gaming computer but that doesn't matter. Also, HP desktop I suggested lists 2.1GHz processor, but remember it's a triple core processor so I'm pretty sure it's enough for your processor requirements.Just might be worth browsing on techforless.com as well - in the ''scratch and dent'' section.

I got my HP4600 workstation that way and saved 53% on list price - and all that was wrong was a ding on CASE and a badly fitting side panel... it was guaranteed workable and proved to be just that.

You just might get more bang for your buck - never know.
