Solve : I need some help with my computer? |
|
Answer» So I have some questions. My knowledge of computers are limited. I just recently purchased a Dell computer. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX video card and I was wondering if it would be over kill to add a second video card just like it and if so is it possible to add a Ageia PhysX physics accelerator chip? If its not over kill, then I would like to add another graphics card just like it. I'm not sure that would be possible with the mother board I have. I also enclosed a couple of pictures showing what I am working with. So I have some questions. My knowledge of computers are limited. No problem at all. That's why I'm here. Bad idea, but go on Quote from: ijrule on September 17, 2007, 05:55:48 PM I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX video card and I was wondering if it would be over kill to add a second video card It would be overkill unless you have a 30" monitor. In 6 months, sure. But right now, you really don't need it. And I'm not sure why you want it, but if you can afford a nother 8800 GTX, why didn't you buy a DELL PC with two of those babies already in there? Quote from: ijrule on September 17, 2007, 05:55:48 PM just like it and if so is it possible to add a Ageia PhysX physics accelerator chip? No. Those are horrible. NEVER buy those. It would have been a better idea to have bought two of those already in there. Or, better yet, to have just not bought a pre-built PC at all. If you give me the model number of the PC, I can give you a difinitive asnwer, but I'm about 90% sure at this time. It's not a huge loss though. You have a top-end PC. Enjoy it. |
