Solve : i've lost sound?

Hi,
My computer has just lost its sound,today.i'm using a windows xp home edition cpu.It was working fine last night,and I don't know wth happend.. I checked if anything was muted via CONTROL PANEL,it was fine. I DUNNO if its the soundcard or not. please help me out.

Anyhow, what did you do prior to the problem.. What type of soundcard do you have, etc.thats what i'm wonder too..

the program is boston digital ba735. I just notice that the bass levals off,so that might play a ROLE..but I don't know how to turn it back on.
