Hey. I want to update my computer so I can play new games like Bioshock and Ut3 without any fps lag on HIGH settings. I'm not so good with computers so I decided to post here and hopefully someone will be kind enough to help me figure out what hardware I should update to make my computer faster with games.

I ran dxdiag and here are my specs

Processor: AMD Athlong(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0ghz
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Graphics card: RADEON X700 Series
Is this a custom BUILD or one that was manufatured???it was customly built by my fatherdo you know what soclet that motherboard is so that we can recommend a new processor?
that is a relatively low end processor, you could also overclock(not highly recomended) if you have a good cooling system. but i dont believe you will get MUCH out of that chip.
that graphics card is also relatively low end, again we need to know what mother board you have so we can recommend another upgrade.i downloaded a program to find out what my motherboard was and it SAID the name of it is biostar nf325-a7what is your budget? high end gaming comps start at around $1000.
