Answer» My computer has a removable disk drive that is a FLOPPY disk drive and dvdrom drive. I want to reinstall WINDOWS98SE after having already cleaned out my original hard drive and setting up a new partition and FORMATTING it. My problem is I am ABLE to boot the system with a floppy disk but when I put the dvdrom drive in to do a windows setup my computer won't recognize it. I was able to download the driver for the dvdrom and install it but this doesn't correct the problem.i find the workaround is to take the h/d from the laptop and with an ide adapter format/installl the system using a pc desktop/tower system...laptop h/d as a slave?done..is easier to do ... |
