Answer» I want to install an ide hd in a computer that already has a sata hd. The ide (with the working os) will be the master, and the sata (can't log into windows) the slave. I want to retrieve some FILES, then clean out sata drive to use as STORAGE. Do I simply plug ide into cable that feeds dvd drive? (POWER cable too, of course)Yes.
