Answer» Even in PHPad I'm getting in the preview http://localhost/c:/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/untitled.php I have installed each application individually as I couldn't find WAMP version.Pay attention Kate. Look more CLOSELY at reply #7 in this thread, in particular the bit that says "Get it here". I would uninstall the piecemeal BITS and bobs, and go for Wampserver. We're aiming for a gentle introduction for you to this crazy world. Once you've got Wampserver up and running, we can work from there. Absolutely no problem for you to ask questions, but lets start by doing this the EASY way. Rob Must have been a bit tired reading that post with the link in... Sorry ! (me a numpty). Anyway WAMP installed !! and ready to get going now ! LOL (got rid of the individual components as requested! LOL) Kate Good good - easy, wasn't it! Let us know how you're getting on. Incidentally, I'm very bad at reading other people's posts properly. Quote If you want to code in PHP, I think DREAMWEAVER may have a PHP syntax highlighter that you could use. Personally I do all my CODING in plaintext with a good syntax-highlighting editor. (My current favourite is PSPad Editor - I have tried a lot of different web/php IDEs on my travels; PSPad is my favourite to date.) Here is my favoite: WeBuilder2006 http://www.blumentals.net/webuilder/ From their website: "Edit HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP within single program" Includes FTP and it only costs $40.00. I've been using it for two years and rarely use anything else. |
