I realize the Imation Super DISK drive has gone to the hinterlands, but hope you can supply an answer to a problem I am having. My BIOS recognizes the LS 120 drive but I cannot open a floppy. Upon inserting a floppy it asks if I want to format the floppy. If I say yes the format menu opens but all areas such as: Capacity, File system, Allocation unit size, are completely blank. A message then states that the floppy cannot be formatted. Am I missing a driver? If not would someone possibly have a solution to the problem?Welcome to the CH forums.

What is your operating system?welcome....how old . long have you had this puter...  was it working ok  before & 4  how  long?

any recent installs or  downloads..using  bit torrent?

more INFO LIKE  Dusty says   better !The read/write heads are out of alignment...Zip drives were problematic brand new... much less 15 years later.
There are companies that will retrieve your data from Zip disks and copy it to a new media for a FEE. Not too unreasonable.

One thing you can try : Power down the machine. Mount the drive UPSIDE down. Power up and be ready to copy your files...this worked for me exactly 3 times over the years so no promises...
