Answer» Long story SHORT, a friend's Dell's hard disk is getting the Drive 0 on the Primary EIDE controller is operating outside of normal specifications messages. A bit of ONLINE research has pointed to that MESSAGE indicating that the hard disk itself is very close to failure. Thier warranty is expired and they're mostly out of options as far as saving thier pictures, music, financial DATA etc from the disc. My question is this, is there any resource or how-to you can direct me to that would tell me how to transfer thier HD's contents to a spare HD of mine? Thanks for any help.Well,in theory you would put the failing hard drive in a good computer jumpered as slave. Create a folder on the good hard drive and copy information to the folder.
