Can I add ram using an EXPRESSCARD 34 slot? My mother's Dell Inspiron B130 is seriously lacking ram. I don't
know how $ it would be to add it internally at a shop.

MacThat laptop was a budget unit with a max of 512Mg of RAM...
If it only has 256 (1 stick) you can easily add another stick yourself without PAYING a shop to do it...

No. These slots are for ADDING PERIPHERAL devices such as TV tuners, mobile broadband cards, FireWire 800 (1394B), SERIAL ATA external disk drives, solid-state drives, wireless network interface cards, soundcards, etc.
