Solve : Inside a Hard Drive?

Answer»

You wouldn't happen to have a Colorado 250 Qic 80 tape drive would you ? ?
That's where all my old DOS/Win98 apps reside ...I think so; I had some kind of tape drive. But I was new at the PC game, and thought it was broken (since it needs drivers I never had) and threw it out I had an SCSI (Scuzzy) 80GB tape drive, it was dead though, it and its reader. Sad, it was cool, old school hardware is sweet. Fun to toy with.. Unless it involves jumpers or dip switches... I hate those... Seriously hate them... Oh, I found this old 8 track player on the curb over the summer... I dunno if it WORKS, I gotta get my dad to dig out his 8 tracks to see if it does.

To stay on topic, I love poking around INSIDE stuff to see how it works, always have. And... GAH! The compaq based system I'm trying to install W2K on keeps going into a rebooting LOOP. Thought it was the CPU, RAM, GPU, everything, gotta be the board or PSU though, I've changed everything else. QUOTE

I collect jumpers. Coolest items ever invented if you ask me. I collect terminating resistors. Well, I started actually because I wanted Terminator memorabilia, and I saw it in a ad. Boy was I disapointed...I collect lighters... Quote from: BC_Programmer on December 22, 2008, 05:56:10 AM

True story. Lol the terminating resistors.

Here's some memorabilia for ya:

CPU from a T-888 as seen in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles season 1.

Scary 'cause, if you watched the series, you learn that higher end PCI-E based boards can run that chip. Quite well actually.it wasn't funny when it happened. I was so excited waiting for my terminating resistor (I thought it was a victim of the terminator trying to resist, or something)- I could hardly brush my teeth or comb my hair...

and then it arrived, and I look inside, to find 5000 terminating resistors from 5 1/4 floppy drives.

thankfully, I was able to create a fashionable necklace for my girlfriend, who subsequently dumped me for a guy named sparkles. That's hilarious BC, guy named Sparkles? Hah!  I know... this stuff just... it's almost effortless for me!

Other nominations go to the names lilac, Pink Gardenia, shafty, shuffles, and Billy.what about gladis?what about her.Who is Gladis? Am I missing something (or rather, someone) again? GAH! Too many disappearing users to remember, evidently not too many to forget though.  I think he's trying to add names to my list.

I will, but I haven't HEARD any news RE: the gift certificates Broni was to recieve.
